There are a lot of events going on at UConn. Filters help you control how many events you see at any given time. They are controlled by the blue boxes on the left of the "View Events" page. They're also used in other areas of the site to create custom lists of events.
By default, the filters will show you the events from all locations, on the UConn Master Calendar. You can change this however.
Selecting the "Add" button underneath the blue filter box will display a large blue block with a list of options. These are the available filters. You can navigate this list be scrolling, or by using the "Search" field above the list.
Selecting a new filter will add it into the filter box, with a checkmark to it's left, and an X box to the right. the checkbox will show and hide the events from this filter, while the X will remove the filter.
When no filters have been specified, then the filter will display all events. For example, by default, the locations box has no filters specified, and therefore shows events from every campus.
The regular search is done from the top right corner of the site, and searches the titles and descriptions of events.
A link to the advanced search is located directly beneath the Regular search box in the top right corner of the site. The advanced search allows you to search specific calendars and locations, and specific time spans.
