Enabling Macros
If your forms do not automatically generate a number, your macro security setting in Excel may be set too high.
In Excel 2003 and below set your macros to medium. Follow the instructions below or view the video.
- Go to Tools.
- Select Macros.
- Select Security.
- Select Medium.
- Close out of Excel and re-open the form. The document number should appear.
In Excel 2007 you will receive a security warning under the toolbar. To enable macros in this document:
- Click on the Options... button next to the security warning.
- Choose Enable This Content.
- Click OK.
- The document number should appear .
