Published on June, 26 2009 at 9:22am
Dr. Federico Subervi (PhD Wisconsin-Madison), well-known expert on Latinos and Political Communication, will present evidence and critical analysis on how media, in English and Spanish, cover Latinos and Latino political issues during presidential elections. Some of the riveting questions he will address include- How have politicians successfully or unsuccessfully communicated with U.S. Latinos? What are the promises of ethnic-oriented media and general market media for reaching Latinos effectively? In what ways do our nation's culture wars impact mediated framing about Latino voters?
