Novice, Intermediate and Experienced Showmanship Classes

Novice are showman who have shown in a Poultry showmanship contest only 1 time or not at all.

Intermediate Showman are those who have shown 2 or 3 times.

Experienced showman are those who have shown 4 or more times.

Educational Poster/Display Competition

There will be prizes for the top three educational displays by either an individual or club. The topics for the displays can be on any aspect of poultry health or management. The displays will be judged on Educational value (50%), Organization (25%) and Eye Appeal (25%). The display size should be limited to 4 linear feet of table space.

Club Activity Poster/Display Competition

There will be prizes for the top three club activity displays. One display per club will be accepted. This should reflect some aspect of your clubs activities, such as scrapbooks, photo albums, projects completed, etc. The displays will be judged on Originality and Team Effort (50%), Organization (25%) and Eye Appeal (25%). The display sice should be limited to 4 linear feet of table space.

Refreshments

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate and Donuts will be available first thing in the morning. Other snacks and lunch will also be available in the arena.

Poultry Showmanship Judging Training

As in the past, we will be offering showmanship judging training to those adults (18 or over) who wish to be trained and certified. Anyone wishing to participate in this training should contact Dr. Michael J. Darre ahead of time.
